Previously we made a centrifugal water pump. In this tutorial, I am going to show you how to make a reciprocating pump. This can be used to pump any type of fluid to get positive displacement. First, watch the below video and get all the PVC fittings we need. There are four components in a reciprocating pump. Piston, cylinder, valve and the crank-motor assembly. How To Make Centrifugal Pump Make reciprocating pump Piston Cylinder Making Valve Making Crank and Motor Assembly Assembling All Components Assemble all the components together. Then connect a 12 V DC source to the Geared motor. Don’t forget to apply lubricant to the piston. Then it will start to pull water from the tank though the valve and pushed out through the other valve. Our reciprocating type pump is ready. This type of pump can be used to pump any type of fluid, not only water. Hope you enjoyed this tutorial. If you have any suggestions to improve this project kindly share them below. DIY STORE
